Hello all,
In my 2019 F250 SD CC 6.7 Lariat:
The USB ports in my console seem to have a mind of their own. Fifty percent of the time they are inop, the rest of the time they come on for 15 - 30 seconds and then go dead. I have tried switching out connected devices and cables, with the same result. This is occurring with the vehicle on and running. There does not seem to be a pattern with this occurring. Any idea? 2019 F250 CC console USB plugs
Different issue, but I took my 2017 in to have it detailed a couple years ago and when I picked it up I was getting random error messages on the screen saying they were inoperable. The detail spray was enough to cause them to "short" and the truck was killing them. The shop said if they are not back to normal after a day bring it back and they'd replace them as they have had to do a few in the past. Why they didn't make an effort to cover them is beyond me if they know it can cause issues.
Leads me to believe they are pretty sensitive/fragile. Might just have to replace them if you don't find a specific reason they are cutting out on you.

my 2020 is doing the same thing. So dang annoying.
I had the same problem! I switched to a GOOD apple hd cable and the problem went away.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

I have switched several cables and devices, including a MAGFAST cable, with no results. A soon as I get back home I'll get to diagnosing the fuses and fixture.
I ended up getting electronic cleaner and spraying on the end of a male USB and cleaning the contacts on the female ends in the dash..
I guess the "acceptable level of filth " threshold had been exceeded it worked after that.
