Do the water pump bolts go thru the block into the coolant and as such need thread sealant or are they blind threaded holes?
I'm noting a slight drip of antifreeze from the passenger side water pump mounting bolt area after a large temp change i.e. hot running to 20 degree weather.
Before I R&R a water pump to replace gaskets I'd like to try a simper fix like adding thread sealant to the bolts.
I know the thermostat housing is directly above these "suspect" bolts but I've confirmed that's not the origin of the leak.
Thanks in advance

100% on the bottom left bolt. If it’s full of water and you’d rather not drain it all and do whatever else is needed to dry it out for applying rtv, try plumbers teflon tape on the threads.
Finally got around to pressure testing the cooling system today...at 10PSI Its the front side of the intake to head area that's leaking.
Was half planning on an intake R&R as part of my "Floor Leak Mitigation" plan; looks like I'm accelerating that project.
