Questions and thought to help me narrow down where and what to look for! I’m driving a 1989 Ford F250 5.8 351 4x4 5 speed manual with 1st gear being a granny! When I’m driving on freeway speeds or I guess maybe any speed, while I’m driving and if I hit a somewhat bigger bump I will momentarily lose power and then it comes right back! I don’t lose electrical power, my lights and cluster and everything stays on with no dimming, however it’s like I lost all either spark or fuel ect… it will for one second completely like kill then comes right back, it last as long as the bump itself. You can hear and definitely feel the cut out of the engine! I don’t know whether it would be an electrical/ spark issue or a fuel issue, but it literally cuts completely out then comes right back! I hope I explained this right so it’s understandable, because I’m not always the best communicator, however I’m hoping some people could possibly help narrow down the trouble shooting of it!

Common problem on 8th gen trucks. Replace your ignition switch above the steering column. When you remove it, you'll probably find the switch housing is split open from age.
A less common problem is a broken/corroded connector on your ignition coil. With the engine running, give the 2 wires on the coil connector a tug and see if it causes the engine to stumble.
That’s prototype! I checked the coil wires the other night and it did need some TLC which I did but did not fix the problem! I checked my relays last night and zip ties the from moving and this morning hit some pretty big bumps and no problems! But I will check my steering column!! Thanks for the point outs!!!!!
