This photo is just representative of the seal I’m referring to. Don’t think I bought it from Riff Raff. But anyhow, I’ve got a squeaky noise coming from the front axle only when the 4WD is activated. Already tested for vacuum leaks at the wheel end with a vacuum pump with no loss of vacuum, so it’s not a leak. The squeaky sound happens regardless as long as vacuum is applied and the auto hubs are engaged. Once disengaged, the sound goes away. Remember, no loss of vacuum! Also, manual hubs are out of the question, so please don’t go there. Just asking if anyone here has experienced this.
I haven't personally seen or heard that happening, but it makes perfect sense it could be that seal or the one at the end of the axle tube. When the hub is unlocked and transfer case isn't in 4wd, those parts are stationary.
Did you use the special tool to insert that? If not, it may not be positioned right. Theres a part that spins with the axle shaft, and the seal needs to be positioned just right. Theres a tool for 99-04 trucks.

I have the tool and used it. About a year - a year and a half ago I completely reseal the whole front axle including the inner lube seals, the outer dust seals, and the vacuum seals because the vacuum was not holding to activate the auto hub locks. I knew none of these seals had ever been changed since I have owned this vehicle since it was around a year old when I bought it, so I bit the bullet and went whole hog. These seals have not always squealed and strangely enough still hold vacuum. The right side is by far the loudest.
