Hey guys, I have a 2016 f150 platinum with 190k miles. I had an issue last year where I got error messages about my blind spot system failure and cross traffic system fault plus my power running boards, AC, and radio quit working I took it to the ford dealership and they told me water had got into the tail light and messed with the BLIS module. They could not get the module but let it dry out and replaced the tail light and it fixed it until this week. I am getting all of the same messages and issues but it’s intermittent now, it comes and goes. I read somewhere else that it could be a bad connection at the ground above the spare tire and I cleaned that up yesterday and it helped for a day or so but now it’s acting up again. Also, when I reattach the ground to the frame it is sparking. Any ideas?
Check all of your electrical harnesses that go to the tail lights and trailer plug. Disconnect them and look for dirt and corrosion. Clean them, then put a thin film of dielectric grease on the seals before clicking them firmly back together. Sometimes the factory doesn't get the connections fully seated, Those will be the ones that have dirt and corrosion in them.
