Turn Signal Switch difference AT MT
I need to switch out my turn signal switch, as the plastic in the mechanism has completely come apart. Now I am having trouble trying to find the right switch. I know there is a difference between tilt and non-tilt, but some sites list their parts for only automatics, while some only distinguish between tilt. Is there a difference between the AT and MT turn signal switches in an 89 F250?
Thanks
Then again GM made a different turn signal switch for the 1996 to 1999 Blazers depending if it was a 2 door or 4 door......
I would say if you can pull the old one and take it with you to the part store that would be the best bet.
The arrow was edited in to show a missing pin, for a previous post.
I thought I was going to have to replace mine, but it just needed that pin, so this was as far as I had to go.
As others have said, I don't think there's a difference between manual and automatic
Here are the tilt versus non tilt. One difference is the spring clip versus the screw at the green dot, and obviously the metal plate, but I never had to change one yet.
Non tilt
Tilt
It looks like the hazard switch is clocked different for the non tilt, than for the tilt.
