Battery Saver Mode every time

Lots of short drives? With mostly local errands all of my vehicles need additional charge help with all the things sucking down battery while parked these days. Probably once a month I throw an external charger on overnight.

Mine will sit sometimes 1-2 weeks at a time. It seems to be in battery saver mode quite a bit. I noticed yesterday, the battery looks to be sulfating on the top around the water caps. I had to disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes to get the door handle lock/unlock to work again for the umpteenth time. The manual states that the negative terminal should be disconnected if not going to be used for a while. I guess it’s time to get a trickle charger. Ridiculous.

I never even let it get to that stage, and bought a $179 AGM battery from Walmart within weeks after picking up our F250.

I reset the BMS and seems to be normal at least for now.

If i drive everyday, no issues but if it sits 2 days (or longer) it goes to battery saver mode every time. Really sucks.

Pull both batteries and deep charge them with a sulphation(sp?) charger. With all the keep alives on these trucks, they will wear a battery down, especially those that have not had a deep charge cycle like an 8 hour interstate run will give them.
