97 E350 heater hoses

I just picked up an E350 5.4 15 ps former church van, repurposed as a work van. I am getting a list together of stuff to send to my friend who has it at his shop in another state. It has the rear heater, can I get the regular non "aux heat" hoses and save half the $ on the heater hoses?? It's going to be my escape vehcle from MD to AL to haul all my stuff/cars/etc. So, no real need for hvac back there... Does anyone have the full diagram of all the coolant hoses handy? Any good online shop manuals/PDFs anywhere??

The factory-type heater hoses can be generic stuff if its the correct size ID, either 3/4" or 5/8". If you also need the Quick DIsconnect fittings as comes from the factory Dorman sells replaceable types in their catalog under the heading "Quick Disconnect". most often similar to their part number 800-403 etc etc etc.

I dunno if there is any of the quick connects on any them from what I've seen that was a later model year change. The 2 long hoses going to the tubes on left side of doghouse in the pic are the ones I'd like to omit. As that particular hose with the goofy *** fittings is half the price without that hookup... If the non Aux heating ones dont have any of the fittings other than the 2 on the drinkers side above the head in the pic, then yeah we will do regular bulk hose.

Here are the quick connects at the rear of my '97 E350. You can see the hard pipe side can be used with standard hose clamps when the quick connect plastic pieces are removed. Your van had the QCs up front on the hard pipe and the PO probably removed them. If your heater hose runs don't have sharp bends then bulk hose and clamps can be easily used. The hoses going to the rear heater core, located at the back of the van, are bent and formed by the factory to prevent kinks and may be more difficult to replace with bulk hoses (especially at the heater core). Plus, you won't find these factory hoses with QCs any where.

AH! ok, I haven't seen the van in person yet. My fiance and buddy picked it up. Being its no longer a people hauler, I'll probably just not hook the long lines up when we do the hoses under hood.
