Does anyone know where I could buy this exact kind of O ring? It came off of my heater hose and I lost the other one. Autozone and O’reillys don’t have it. It’s not a regular rubber one, it’s a hard plastic. It sits in between two other rubber O-rings inside the heater hose quick connect end.
It's probably nylon, but polyacetal should work too. I'd check your local hardware store. Maybe you'll get lucky. Take it with you, they won't have a clue about Ford heater hoses.
Look for a similar and suitable replacement inside a Dorman Quick-Disconnect fitting. The dealership also sells them but most likely would not be in stock. Dorman # 800-403 in not the number you necessarily need but its representative of they type. You will need to know the hose size.
Dorman has a repair kit that includes that spacer, comes with new lock tab and o-rings as well but it's been my experience they are undersized and leak. Either reuse the old o-rings or match them up with a quality o-ring from an assortment most auto parts stores have.
