I recently borrowed my friends trailer. Seven Pin flat trailer plug. All lights and brakes (electric) worked. There are no backup lights on the trailer but a wire from the trailer is connected to the backup pin on the trailer plug.
Yesterday I noticed that I do not have any backup lights on the truck. I have checked fuse 15 (backup lights) on the interior fuse panel, fuse 70 (Trailer Backup Lights) on the engine compartment fuse panel and Relay 76 (Trailer Backup Lights relay) on the engine compartment panel. All checked out good.
What might I be missing here or is there any other fuses I should check?
What other electrical equipment on the vehicle is not working ?
Think "interlock" similar to getting up off the seat of a riding mower and the engine shuts off.
I have had Ford trucks that would not eject the CD from the radio. I just gave up and thought there was a problem with the radio.
Then, months later, I was chasing a different electrical gremlin. I replaced some obscure, little known fuse and the CD ejected when I turned on the ignition...
100% all factory wiring, fuses, radio and everything else electrical.
