We had a big rain here last week and I was under the hood of my truck when I noticed the Donaldson filter had some moister on it. I didn't exactly like the way the fins on the filter were "puffed out." Should I be concerned about this or is the Airforce One green filter constructed better? Having new o rings and g/ps put in this week. The guy who's doing the work really likes the intake and wanted to get one. Anybody know how to get in touch with Dale? Thanks
his number is on his website Tymar's Site
I wouldnt be worried about the filter, i had the same concern once after wheeling, it was all wet. He chose the donaldson because the filter is water resistant.
Is the Doanaldson filter waterproof or water resistant?
Big difference. If it has "puffed out" I would have to believe it is water resisitant as most everything in the world is.
It resists moisture until it absorbs it.
BigSilver95, thanks for the info on the site. My trucks in the shop and it still has problems. I thought it was the CPS but it turned out to be something more serious. It still wouldn't lite. They checked the high pressure pump and found that a valve in it was stuck shut. $ Then another code came up that the PCM has gone bad. $ It was changed out and the motor finally lit. Get's better. A scan was done and showed six out of eight cylinders were bad. $ (Not firing correctly) Another code showed the IDI was malfuntioning. $ The motor was running but had a bad miss in it. Valve covers had to come off anyway so their going to check the wiring harnesses when they pull the injectors. $ I'm having a great Holiday Season!
