I have an '03 F250 PSD Crew Cab bought Jan 3 this year and has 33 k on it now. I just hit a sewer drain along a curb and broke the passenger front wheel and twisted off the pinion in the steering box. I got this all fixed, but when I took it to my local "allignment experts", they told me all 4 ball joints are bad and would be about $700 to replace due to the amount of labor to disasemble the front end. My question is, with 4 new tires, and no signs of damage to the truck, will my dealer consider this a warranty repair? Thanks in advance for any advice!
I appreciate all the responces, but my question is more reguaring weather or not the dealer will consider ball joints warrantyable. I am within the 3/36 @33K, and just haven't got it in to have them look yet (my truck is my office and hard to do without). Just looking for ammo for when I DO get it in. Thanks again for all the replies!! :-)
We've had a few E450's that the dealer replaced under warranty. I'veeen some go bad with less than 10,000. If one dealer hassles you about it go to the next.
Why is it that Ford can have something as remarkable as the Powerstroke but can't build a front end that lasts....My ball joints were just replaced (really needed it sooner) at 60,000....
