400

With all the technicalities being thrown around(M, not an M, Cleveland, etc.), i thought id throw in my 2 cents. The ford 400, with a bore and stroke both of 4 inches, figures out at an actual 402 cubic inches. What does it matter what everyone calls it, because nothing fits better than Under-rated Chevy Killer!!!!

Figure the bore and stroke on a lot of motors and you will find they have been rounded off somewhat. Look at the 302 and 300-6, -or the 5.0L and 4.9L

300-6= 301.44 cu. inches
302= 301.44 cu. inches

so to be technical, they are both 4.9 liters, and the 302 is not a 5.0 liter. in all honesty, i'm just tired of hearing the bickering, and i just wanted to let everyone know that it's not really worth arguing over.
