05 no start

Have a 05 with a no start. Have code 0341 however not sure if that is current. I have sync, 1625 psi while cranking, injector pressure at 74% but no ICP voltage. Unolugged ICP still no start, Why is there no voltage, shouldn't I see .5?

It's been a long time since I've done much work on a 6.0, but IIRC you should see 0.24 or so volts KOEO. There is no voltage reading when the sensor has cratered or there's a wiring problem. That alone shouldn't keep the engine from starting. The P0341 is a CMP sensor code. Do you have a way to see live data? If you do, see if you have CMP/CKP sync while cranking.

I have a snap on scanner, I didn't see cnk/cmp sync. I thought FICM sync was the only sync?

I've no idea where to look for it on a snap-on scanner. I've only used them a couple times and I was not impressed, TBH.

There are two SYNC's and both are required to start.

FICM Sync
Cam/Crank SYNC

You will see ICP pressure when cranking, even without an ICP sensor (ie no voltage) - the PCM will assume a value as a help top (hopefully) get the engine started. That is why the voltage is important. Assuming your scan tool will read the voltage PID correctly, then you have a sensor, connector, or wiring issue. You can always check for voltage with a DVOM and the proper probe..

I did find a second Sync and it does say yes. So I have a wiring issue with the ICP circuit?

I would verify that with a meter first. it is easy enough to access on an '05.

I checked and I only have .25V on both sides so no 5 volt reference signal? With that said I thought 6.0 would start without the ICP plugged in?

Depends on what's wrong. If the issue is ONLY the ICP sensor, then unplugging it works. The ICP sensor is a 3 wire sensor .............

V-reference should be 5 volts. If it isn't, then you have a short in that circuit somewhere. Brown wire with White stripe, circuit 351.

I believe that it is shared with the EGR valve, and EBP sensor.

The other two wires are:
"signal" (that is what the PCM uses to calculate the pressure).
"signal return" (a PCM ground circuit shared with other sensors).

So I ended up replacing ICP sensor still nothing higher that 330PSI. Air pressure tested found air leaking on passenger side, pulled valve cover off, could quite pinpoint location. Sounds like it was coming from between 5&7. I pulled oil rail, pulled dumming plug which was replace with updated about 150K ago it looked good. Stand pipe is original 350K but orings looked good. From what I can tell the injectors orings look? I am a bit stumped on were to go from here. One of the injector cups is a bit loose from what I read they should be replaced but that alone shouldn't cause a no start?
