Part help
Been a bit because of life. Broke this while changing valve cover gasket. Anyone know where to get this? And what exactly what it is called. 1977 f150 351 m . Thanks in advance
Should be able to ID it, and then work on getting a part #.

My attempt to fix broken piece. JB Weld for plastic. Two part deep pour epoxy inside for stability. Wish me luck! Should be able to start putting her back together this week.

Little late to the party here BUT next time you need to repair items you cant find.... try this.
What I do is drill out holes in one piece for steel pins around 1/16 in, 0r larger in size (depending on the size of the piece
then match holes in other piece, put the bonding agent on the pieces, incert the pins and clamp in vice for 24 hrs,
Sand or grind off excess, paint and install. Also in your case I would have cut out a piece of steel or alum.l that would fit in that grove, clamp it into the epoxy and coat again on top. maybe even drill a few holes int it for more adhesion surface...
Attached is a piece of aluminum for my winch I nad to repair,
When you can't find it you have to fixit it....
Yes you are right though, some time you just have to make it.
