I have a 2017 F250 4x4 6.2 that needs Output speed sensor replaced. I've read mixed information about it being inside the trans and on the outside. Can anyone confirm where it's located?
Many moons ago I replaced a speed sensor that was on the rear pumpkin of my 88 f250 or that's what I think I remember doing. Speedometer was jumping around. Don't know if it's the same now.
Edit...After seaching I replaced a different sensor than what you're after but in this post it might be what you're after.
it is in the transmission and part of the molded leadframe so that whole piece needs to be replaced. Looks like part # AL3Z-7G276-D
Thank you for confirming this. I was under thee assumption that i had the 6r140 trans. Then i pulled off pan and realized i have the 6r100. do i need to just pull off valve body and its on the backside of it?
