I would like to start by saying I have searched the forums and read just about every forum related to “no throttle”
1995 f350, have no throttle. I have checked voltage at APPS as well as voltage at IVS with scan tool and with multimeter all the values are good, I also have swapped both sensors with known good sensors just in case, no change. I ohmed out the wires from the APPS and IVS to the pcm and the wires are good. I am fairly confident I have ruled this as a PCM issue but seems they are not as cheap and readily available as they used to be. Has anyone seen this problem before I begin just throwing parts at it? Also the truck will crank and idle for about 5 minutes and then shut off and upon trying to restart will not build high oil pressure until it has been turned over for a good 30-45 seconds. Is this all a pcm issue or something with high oil pressure?
The high pressure oil system is mainly mechanical. So it sounds like you may have more then one issue at play here.
You've ruled out fuel?
Yes, plenty of fuel pressure. I just redid the entire fuel system (minus tank) to get rid of a total hack job of a “e fuel” kit. Both problems were there beforehand. The dieng after 5 minutes due to loss of high oil pressure was verified by a scan tool just trying to figure it if maybe the ipr is getting inaccurate commands by the pcm.
When it starts, watch the duty cycle and see how it relates to oil pressure and see how it trends before it dies. If pressure stays about the same, but the duty cycle keeps going up then you probably have a high pressure oil leak somewhere. Maybe injector o rings.
Does oil pressure on dash go up quick?
Do you have oil around the main seal behind HB?
That seal can draw in air when its worn
Raise rear up two feet and see if it runs better, if yes then pickup pipe might be cracked or gasket failed.
Thank you all for the reply’s, the oil gauge does rise quickly and stays within a good range while running I was afraid it could be the lpop and was gonna rule out it with a manual gauge but haven’t yet. The last time it died I did pull the plug on the hpop reservoir and it was full.
The oil is full but have no idea about what kind or condition it is I was also planning on changing with Scheafers as we run that in all the trucks but was trying to get it running correctly first.
The front seal does seem to be wet around it but doesn’t seem to pour.
As for the ivs and apps the ones that were on the truck are in the same range as the ones pulled off a running and driving truck with no issues and are within range compared to the write up I read of how to manually test them.
I had the same problem in my 95 a long time ago, the wiring harness going over the steering wheel had rubbed thru due to the column shifter shaft hitting it, so check the wiring harness on that area.
But since you tested the resistance from the wiring of the IVS and APS to PCM that only leaves the PCM.
I'd also double check that everything is plugged in properly with the pedal. Hate to see someone spend a bunch of money on a part for something simple like that.

I wouldn't mind spending the dinero on a pcm, its never a bad idea to have a spare.
OP have you checked your local junk yards for a PCM? Or have yours checked out
I apologize for the lack of response we have been working on other trucks. I have a scanner that reads IVS and APP yes. The ivs switch’s from closed to open within a second of hitting the throttle. The app value seems to change from 1-5v if I remember correctly (would have to double check that value again) Pushing the throttle has zero effect on the engine, I have tested all the wires for continuity and they are all good. I have even pulled the ivs and apps from a good running and driving truck with no issues.
