2012 /250/XL/6.2/4X4 hi all. so i had to get a jump a few times last 2 weeks, and then the battery was totally dead. i thought it was from work opening and closing the door alot and that i had left it ajar. but then when helping a friend move, i noticed that when locking the truck with the fob, my horn would beep twice( which i believe is to mean doors are not shut all the way) and when done te battery was toast. so i went and bought a new battery, and all was fine for the past week till this morning, at 2 am i was woken by my alarm going off. doors are shut and dont see a reason for it. then it went off again one hour later. when i went out to check i locked again with the for and 2 beeps again. and when it went off the second time the same. 2 beeps. could this be a issue with the alarm mechicnism? i remember there was a post awhile back about how the passenger door latch is known to cause issues. i have WD'ed the latches . any help or ideas on this would be great. thanks

 

double horn honk means the BCM is seeing not all doors and hood are shut. check the hood switch for proper operation
