I'm going to replace the capacitors in the ECU's in all three of my OBS trucks over the winter ('92 F150 w/351, '92 F250 w/460, and '95 F150 w/351), and based on everything I've read, and videos I've watched, it seems to me that the ECU's need the same caps, regardless of the year and/or engine/trans combo. (Heck, I think the Fox Body Mustang ECU's use the same ones as well.)
I haven't removed any of the ECU's yet, nor have I ordered anything, but I guess my question is: Does anyone know if they are indeed the same? Has anyone done "multiple" re-caps before?
And, yes. I know they're cheap enough, but I'd rather not pay for additional shipping on a separate cap (or three), as more than likely that would be a LOT more expensive than the actual caps themselves.
Appreciate any experience-based feedback, and thanks!
