My 2017 King Ranch dash above instrument cluster has shredded "leather". Looking to replace just that portion of the dash which is separate. Has anyone removed/replaced that part? Looking for help on how to remove.
Im in the same position. From all accounts it appears that their are four bolts that hold the topper, and in order to get to those bolts you have to remove the dash. Im hoping someone will chime in and tell me Im wrong but right now I see no other way, not sure thats a task I want to undertake.....

I would be surprised if you have to remove more than just the gauge cluster and associated trim pieces. Maybe someone with a service manual or who has done a gauge swap can confirm or deny.....or did you already get that far and discovered it requires further disassembly?
yes exactly I have gotten to that point and its looking like the dash must be moved in order to get the 4 bolts that hold on the topper. Im hoping that someone will chime in and say no it can be done without removing the dash, but its not looking good, hoping someone will or at least share a screen shot of the service manual covering that aspect
I changed that piece and yes, I had to remove the entire dash. I took out the seats, center console and systematically dismantled the whole thing. It was a lot of work. Took me and a friend all day to do it, so it is possible just very unfun.
