'03 Excursion - Steering Wheel Radio Controls
Has anyone experienced a problem with the wheel controls for the factory stereo system? I've found that my volume controls now change the stations and sometimes band selection. Prior to that, pressing the volume down would actually bring the volume up. The station selection sometimes changes the band, too.

Last year I found a new set in Great Britain from a limo company, my cruise control was not working.

on my '02 Excursion, when I replaced the steering wheel,
I noted that the plugin connector in the base of the steering wheel is easily damaged, inspect it for proper seating.
I bought an Eddie Bauer steering wheel for my XLT and assumed ( yeah ) that the ribbon connectors were all the same.
they are, and they aren't.
Eddie Bauer is reversed upside down, compared to the OEM XLT steering wheel.
I tried to seat the new ribbon cable, it didn't fit, at the time, I was having eyesight issues, and could not see what I was doing, so I pushed harder, and broke the connector.
got a magnifying glass, and saw what happened, removed the cable, turned it around 180 degrees and it snapped right in, as it should.
