The cheepest place I found the switch was the dealer, believe it or not. They were about thirty bucks cheeper than auto zone!
By the way be sure to check the fuse and the fuse box connections, my fuse box was coroded and not making proper connections.
Yeh, that was my first problem. didn't have power at the brake switch and the fuse was good. Cleaned the terminals in the fuse panel and had power at the switch, I was really disapointed when the brake lights still didn't work.
The place I found that had the switch wants $60 for it. Is that a reasonable price?
I got mine for about $50 plus shipping from one of the restoration sites. Sorry, can't tell you the name. But if you do a search you may be able to do better. Although depending on what your taxes are, you may have about as good as you're going to get. Shipping and handling seems like it eats up $5-10 anyway.

I have had the same problem on my 68 a couple times. Of course it is easy ti find since you have no power to the switch.
