I need to put new wheels on my 55 and found some on LMC with 8 1/8" center ring that will allow for the OEM type hubcap. My concern is that I put disk brakes on the front. I contacted LMC and they didn't know if the wheels were compatible with or had clearance for the caliper. Has anyone purchased these or know if they will work with disk brakes?

 

I also remember when I installed the disk brake conversion they said that the original wheels may hit the caliper and that you would have to grind a corner to create clearance. Has anyone done this in the past? Just wondering how that worked out.
