i see quite a few sellers listing this mirror: ML3Z-17696-CA as being a direct replacement for the paddle mirrors i have on my 21 XLT with blind spot, curb lamp, and 360 camera system.
but when i check on Tasca ford parts, they say it is not compatible.
anyone know if they will work or not?
I install them on my 2021 xlt with same options and they work except the running lights in the mirror are not on yet and when in reverse the camera system has not been calibrated right yet but i have tried to calibrate and it will not work yet on first try., but working on it with forscan
Not really "an asnwer" to your question, but there are five or six versions of the mirrors based on options. If you get mirors with too many options, they should plug into your truck just fine, as the 22-pin connector is the same, but the "extra" options won't function. If you get one with too few, well, then those don't work either.
The other option is to take your old broken mirror and "the wrong" new mirror, and swap over the internals. That's not totally straightfoward though.
In summary, the reason this seems harder than it should is because it's pretty confusing.
the part number mirrors are supposedly direct replacement with 360 camera, curb lights and directionals. the only difference between them and the ones on the truck is they are tow mirrors, and ones on the truck(stock 2021 F150) are "dumbo" mirrors.
well, verdict is in: they work. finally had the time and weather to put them on yesterday.
everything works as it should, and i can see much better behind with the larger tow style mirrors.
i am sure they will be just the ticket needed to see behind the enclosed trailer now, instead of alongside the trailer that the "dumbo mirrors" provided.

That's good to know! I want to do this to mine as well. Did you have to do anything special to calibrate the camera like mentioned above?
nope!!!! i was all ready with the laptop and forscan, but plugged them in and everything worked.
funny thing is, they were almost set perfectly out of the box!
only thing i have noticed different is the camera on the dumbo mirrors is out on the mirror next to the curb light. \the camera on the tow mirrors is on the mount up against the door.
and yes it was a nasty day yesterday.
today too, it is only 18 degrees.
I love the tow mirrors. I looked for a long time before I found a F150 that had them from the factory. My boat is slightly wider than my truck, extending the mirrors gives me the best view backwards.
i have an enclosed trailer and want to see behind the trailer, not along side it.
i have had people tell me they see fine with the little mirrors.
i drive trucks for a living and know better. if you cant see what is behind you, you can not "see fine"

Awesome, thanks that's good to know! Upgrading to these mirrors is very high on my list!
i goy them from evilbay. the guy has one set left. they came direct from a Ford Dealer in Texas. i paid $699 for them. with shipping and sales tax, total was $750.64
here is the listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/405272110479
Put my tow mirrors on this morning! So happy with them compared to the little mirrors . Everything works that I can test, I'll check the BLIS today while I'm out and about. Thanks for the info on this! I was happy to hear this was plug and play.
