Ancel AD410 Scanner
I need to capture a powertrain ( Double open end yellow wrench icon) fault on my 2019 F250 6.7. Am a novice on electronic surveillance. ANYONE ! is this scanner which is inexpensive useful
to capturing faults on my truck. The fault I have experienced only twice now and completely random on my 15,400 mile truck apparently does not leave a record in my truck data base. Two dealers have told me that I must bring the truck in when this icon appears and leave the truck running so this fault can be pulled up. This is not easy as the fault is associated with what I now have read to be described
as a transmission shudder. It is somewhat like driving over a surface having ridges on a short spacing. I consider it destrucitive to my drivetrain as I compare it to dropping the clutch every second on a manual transmission. The fault disappears with shutdown of the truck and does not occur when restarting. I have driven about 200 miles now since the last incidence.
