360-390

What is the difference in hp between the 360 and the 390?
Also what type of transmission come with a 1975 f100 2wd 360?

the difference is the crank and rods. The 360's stroke is 3.5 and the 390's is 3.78. 360 is simply a 352 crank/rods in a 390 block.

Your transmission is either a C-6 auto or a granny gear 4 speed ( unless someone swapped it for a Toploader)

So what is the difference in horsepower between the 2 engines.
The question was never answered.

I don't know the conversion formula for the math involved in stroke to horsepower.

Curious.

360-215hp 390-245hp 390-390fbt not sure on torque for the 360 right now., them formulas id for the late 360 and 390 stock 2 barrell engines.

I would stay far away from that e-bay seller '1adam5', since he has no feedback. He is either new or he just has a lame rep or both.

I did a google search on 'Jet Technologies' and no Turbo manufacturers came up. Just some weird engineering companies and unrelated stuff. So...............?
Do a google search and/or try the link below, it has many Turbo and Supercharger links from reputable manu's.

Just remember the Turbos and Superchargers create a lot of heat and energy and like to eat stock engines.....so if your serious about it do some research.....and hook up a nice engine to plant it on. Unless you don't mind it getting blown down the road.

Me.....I always wanted a blower on mine..........Hee hee hee......

Thanks guys! I can get the whole thing motor, trans, drive, rad, and almost everything that attaches to it for a not bad price.
I would like to put the 360 or my 460 in my truck it is a 81 f250 4x4 with a 351m in it. Will I have any problems?
I might just slap in the 460 now and rebuild the 360 from the bottom up and then put it in after. sound good!

i think the 460 bolts up to the 351 tranny, i may be worng but of course the 360 dont bolt to the 351 tranny but sense u have the tranny and all that stuff for the 360 you could put that in and im sure you have to change motor mounts and im not sure about tranny mounts you may have to fina a few extra parts, good luck
