Headlight bezel

Hi, I wonder why my left headlight bezel isn't fitting as good as the right one, I think it might be from the inside clips.

Look at how the right on is fitted.

That's the left one there is a gap and it's not going inside the grill as well as the right one.

Could try switching rings and headlight buckets from side to side to see what the culprit is.

who knows what could of happened in the last 68 years also I do not think that a lot of things fit that well on these trucks when they were new

My guess is your grille got damaged at some point and the hole and mountings are skewed. Is this a dent? It looks like that whole area is caved in just a bit.

I'm going to guess that those are reproduction bezels. If they are that's the reason why they look like this. They are too thin and when screwed down top and bottom the sides flex out.
