One other thing I have to decide on is the rear sliding window. Does anyone know if there are any difference between what dc offers and the one that lmc offers? Thanks again
You do know that even a slider from a up to 1996 will fit. Yes IMO...one will be cheaper, but....not as quality made, probably not fit as well, glass panes will not open or close easily or even lock right. And it will probably cost almost as much or more than the part, just for the shipping. Oh and the outer seal, to include the lower groove slider track seal will probably fall apart in 6 months.
I live 2 hours (one way) from LMC in Lenexa Ks and still would not make that drive. Ol Number Dummy sure can come up with some a funny ones about cheap parts.
“The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”
"Cheap parts, are not good and good parts are not cheap".
"Quality of parts are like oats. There are new oats and used oats. New oats can be bought at feed stores, used oats can be found out on the road, after the horse passes by."
I love a sliding back glass, it gives me another number to have, because we all know that 5/80 beats 4/80 any day when you want free a/c. Just do not have loose hay, or saw dust in the bed and do 80 (mph) with the slider open. All that "stuff" in the bed will sucked right into the cab. Drop the tailgate to help prevent it.
Hey man I get where you are coming from I always have said you get what you pay for.
I just thought that they may be the same with dc trying to make alittle more money.
I like your collection of the old ford trucks.
Thanks again for your help
