i dished out a $100 for my stock 4v intake. I went to all the junkyards and called the rest but there aren't any around my area believe it or not. I got hold of a guy who had a couple but he wanted a 100 a piece i thought it was really steep but so is 240 for the edelbrock performer.

$100 for a stock iron 4 bbl Ford FE intake is highway robbery. Maybe for a 428CJ iron intake, but not the std FE intake.

I would love to get a Edelbrock Performer Aluminum intake. But I am broke. The cast iron is a good intake but is heavy as hell. One of these days....

hey fordman428, are you the one who got a 428 and all for free or what? I can get all kinds of 2bbl intakes but they are no good. I want to get out and find those gems but i have school and no room to play with the stuff.

yes but i got rid of it already right after i got it it was sitting in my dads shop and a guy came in and offered me 1,200 for the way it sat, it wasnt even running and had sat for 10 years i had the heads off and it was stock no overbore nothing, the valves were all rusty, so when he said 1,200 i said he could take it home i figured i could put that in my 390 and have one just as good as a 428.

haha well ill get all the parts i can so the crusher cant swallow them up and if you need some parts just ask, they will be really cheap, i dont want to see FE parts get crushed when they can still be used.

If you find a aluminum manifold or a 410 or so crank... anything bigger than a 390 Id like it :P
Or even another 390 crank maybe
