351w throttle bracket for Edelbrock

351w throttle bracket for Edelbrock

I have a Edelbrock performer intake on my 1984 f150 with the 351w and I'm struggling to get a bracket set up that will work. The bracket I have won't line up with the holes on the intake manifold and even if it did they're too far back for the cable to attach to the throttle. Is there an aftermarket solution I tried the Edelbrock 1491 and it didn't seem to help either

As seem below i have it drilled out as a hopefully temporary fix.

I had to mod the bracket on mine by drilling and bending a bit.

Looks good to me. Why should it be temporary? If you ever do find one that fits, it will most likely be universal with a bunch of adjustable slots. When playing the modification game, custom homemade hoses and other parts are going to be normal.
