Help please..lol so I got a free rv. its pretty nice! but I cant get it to run. It runs when I squirt starting fluid into the intake nice and smooth for a couple seconds then dies out. I figured since I wasn't hearing any sounds at all from the fuel pumps that it had to be the problem. So first I bought a brand new fuel pump relay and that didn't work. Then I bought the front high pressure fuel pump that is on the frame up by the driver side, I replaced that and the fuel filter, still no luck.. then I replaced the rear in tank fuel pump and still no luck! Then I learned that it has a fuel cut off inertia switch and I found it but it was already pushed down and was never triggered. Any ideas on what I can try next? Im not a mechanic I just try to replace what seems to make sense to replace and I cant find a mechanic nearby or mobile anyways so I'm at a loss I do not know what to do except reach out on this forum for advice. Thanks for any and all advice in advance!
First thing I would do is stop replacing parts. You are just going to go broke doing that.
I get that you are not a mechanic but want to play one in real life. Sometimes you got to know where your strong suits are and if it is not figuring out things, you need to find someone local.
Sounds like you do have a fuel problem, but what is your fuel pressure like at cranking speed. Don't know it, then stop doing anything until you do. If you don't find out if you got power/ground to your fuel pumps when the engine is cranking. Don't know how to do that, stop until you do.
Working on cars is not that difficult, especially with the internet at your finger tips. Testing is how you are going to know if you are going in the right direction, throwing in parts just makes you more broken and upset.
