Maybe, but I'm really happy with the handling improvements resulting from the Hellwig sway bar addition. $700 well spent in my opinion.
My 2019 did not have a rear sway bar when purchased. After reading and researching here, I decided to add a factory ford bar.
I agree with you also, as I am also happy with the way it improved the trucks handling. I tow a travel trailer, and it really settled the truck in cross winds. The addition was worth the cost, and wait on the backordered parts!!!
I put in the front helwig only becuase the shape prevents rubbing with 37" tires
I’m considering this as a solution for my tire rub. 37x12.5R18 Nitto RG’s on 18x9 Method 322’s +18 offset. I’ve got a BDS 3” Radius Arm lift with Billstein 5100’s. Is your truck lifted as well? Just trying to get feedback from someone who swapped the oem sway bar with the Hellwig (#7712 for my 2020 F250 Platinum 6.7 PS) to confirm it cured the rub before I order the new sway bar. Thanks in advance!

from all my experience a 37/12.50 on a 9” wheel at +18 offset you shouldn’t be rubbing.
is the axle for some reason not centered? Seems like you should be good regarding rub.

Rubbing on both left and right sides so I assume the axle is centered. Hellwig bar has less of a protruding “elbow”, which should keep it away from the tires at full turn. It’s also a much better sway bar, so should solve my rub and provide better sway control. Way cheaper than the Carli option. I’ve ordered it and will install it shortly after it arrives. I’ll provide an update.
Perhaps it's different with 4wd trucks or anything with a high center of gravity. One of my 3/4 tons has no sway bars, the other has front and rear. I've never felt roll with either while towing the fiver.
I have been in wind strong enough to rock the fiver...even when parked at a gas station. I felt the need to drive slower than normal because of the camper dancing but did not feel truck roll.
Not trying to be ornery, but if you think the pivot does nothing, try wedging it with something to keep it from pivoting and drive a few hundred miles with the camper... then you'll see why the hitch has a pivot.
Adding a sway bar won't hurt anything unless the plan is to do off-roading on very uneven ground. I just highly doubt anyone can differentiate a truck with it vs a truck without it when towing the same fiver.
I use a Helwig Rear Sway Bar and love it . Especially while driving in the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming pulling my 5th wheel toy hauler at 18,000 . Thinking about putting one on the front to help with the added weight of the 6.7 diesel engine as well .
