I was approached by a professional photographer last summer about using my truck in a Christmas format photo booking.
I gave her my number thinking it was just talk but she did call and it was a nice day yesterday at a Christmas tree farm in Monmouth county NJ. I billed it out for 150.00 and she was so grateful she gave me 200.00 !
About five years ago a photographer advertised on FB looking for a old red truck to use for Christmas photo shoots. My son gave her my information and she contacted me asking if she could use the truck, but she needed a place to take pictures. I asked what she was looking for and she said she just wanted a park somewhere with pine trees. I told her I have a line of trees next to my barn and she come over to take a look. She asked how much I'd want to use the truck and the yard to take pictures. I left her set the price, $150 a day. I just start up my truck, drive it out of the garage and around to the front of the barn. Easiest $150 I make.
This last Saturday my son hired the photographer to do his wedding and he asked me to bring the F-2 to the wedding to have pictures taken. When I saw the photographer I asked if she wanted to use the truck again this year. She said she wanted to but didn't want to bother me. She already had orders for pictures to be taken with "old truck truck". I told the photographer us old truck and car guys like to have our vehicles involved in promo events.
The woman who bought my red F2 is a professional photographer and she has been using it every November to stage family photo shoots. With a tree and snow sled in the back. She sells out of time slots every year. $325 for a 15 minute session. I'm happy for her as she is taking good care of the truck. She is local to me and I should go over there and tighten up the bolts on the rear tail lights.
Here's an example photo session from last year:
