4.6 2v performance build
Hey I have 4.6 2v I want to build if anyone has advice on parts that would be great, I know I want forged internals just don't know what kit or parts to buy that would work performance wise for the 2v

On a 4.6 you just need a good set of pistons and rods, they sell kits for around $1500. The stock nodular iron crank is good for 700 hp but some people have pushed it higher, I have yet to see a crank failure but forged is good for extra insurance.
I use a stock 4v oil pump on my 4.6 and have 90 PSI of oil pressure on start up, also use ford GT as in the supercar, not the mustang cam followers as they have a smaller oiling hole and spray the roller vs oil just running out of them and also maintains better cam oil pressure.

I was looking for a bit of increase for my 4.6L XLT 4X4 Flairside too. However, not going into the engine for that just yet. Looking for small increase as I tow once in a while. Any progress on your project, yet? Any recommendations on my quest would be appreciated. R.
