Frame rot!

Hey all, 2001 F-250 6.8. I’ve got some pretty nasty weak spots in my drivers side front frame section. Specifically behind the steering gear. Searching for a southern frame and the diesel’s are WAY more plentiful. What, if any, are the difference's between the 7.3 frame and 6.8?

I don't believe there are any differences. The only contact the engine has with the frame is the motor mounts to the cross member, and I can't think of anything different there.

You can use any 99-04 frame, doesn't matter if it's gas or diesel. 2WD or 4WD and Cab and Chassis frames are the only major differences.
