Replacement C6 transmission pan
Anyone know where you can buy a replacement c6 transmission pan for a 78 bronco for not too much money? The old one has a few rust holes that have rotted through from the inside. I bought a stamped steel JBG one for $50 for the owner who doesn't have much money, but it ended up being too shallow for the pickup (pan won't fit). He doesn't have $250 to step up to the cast aluminum finned version.

The C-6 used in 4WD trucks uses a deep oil pan. It also uses a different filter. Check with a local transmission shop in your area. They might have a good used pan. You might be able to change the filter to a 2WD style and use the shallow pan you have. I don't know for sure if you can do that. A good shop can tell you if you can.
