Yes and no, for your case no. The chrome plating uses magnetism to stick the layers of nickel and copper. They have a plastic chroming process, but I don't even know anything about it. If your going for just a daily driver, they do make a chrome paint, athough it looks like brushed alumiumn . They stock trucks also came with cream bumpers(or is that just 59-60?) and wouldn't look bad either. Although maybe I'm wrong?-4speed
im pretty sure you cant just weld up these holes. they are more like really deep grinder marks and torch holes. I'm not going to have anything rechromed for a while, until I can afford it anyways. Mine didnt come with a back bumper so I will probually make a front and rear one so they match
