Fuel Pumps
Fuel Pumps
I was curious about swapping fuel pumps with a 302. I belive my fuel pump on my six is dumping fuel into the gas tank, and besides that i don't think its holding its prime. i usually have to wind on the truck or pump the gas or choke the carb to get it to restart. I've even had to do this after the truck sat for about 20 minutes after i had just ran it and its starting to get annoying.
Basically can i go outaide, take my 302 fuel pump out of its box and slap it on my 300 without any issues??
Any input is appreciated...

I'm gonna say no. Just go and get a new fuel pump for a 300. I paid $16 for mine and it took me about 20mins. to get the old one out and put the new one in on my 86 F-150 4x4 4 spd w/ a 300.

Yeah i found my fuel leak anyways, turns out i don't need the pump, as i rechecked the oil, and it smells just like oil should.
Where i found the fuel leak was at the base of that crappy carter 1v. I was adjusting the air/fuel mix and i felt something running out onto my hand. Turns out it was gas.
Looks like this'll be the third carter i'm rebuilding in just inside a year.
I'm really starting to hate these things.
