hey guys, been looking into making that beast of mine sound like one. not sure if i want a cat back system or complete setup. i have a shop that will do my s.s. pipe bending so i was thinking of just buying the muffler. was looking at Flowmaster but can not decide on what style. i heard 40 series delta flow, oringial flow f.m.. high flow cat,and 70 series. also heard of Spintech mufflers. what are you guys running? i am not afraid of it being heard! i am not set on anything right now, i would however like to end up with duals out the back. i also hear it is hard to make these v_10 sound good. my ride is a 2001 f250 v-10 manual also. thanks for all the input.
Most of the guys on this site seem to prefer the Flowmaster 40 series. I thought da "monsta" had a sound clip in the FAQ section. Can't seem to access the FAQ's tonight. Also I think "Abendx" is running a Flowmaster 40 with a turndown right after the muffler. I'm sure some of the other guys will join in, this is a popular subject.
Before becoming addicted to this site https://www.ford-trucks.com/clipart/logo.gif and all the MODS, one of my first was FM-40 this guy "MONSTA" has/had a sound clip that I just played over n over. Once I got my wife used to the sound playing it on the puter, I was able to install it without her noticing it.

That is a page right out of my playbook! That is exactly what I did. I played Monsta's clip over and over...I can still hear Monsta saying "FlowMasta" at the start of that clip... the kids were convinced long before the wife was though. In fact, my 7 yr old daughter, Shelby (what a name... true ford nut ain't I?) said, "I love it when you go to work in the mornings because I love the sound of the truck when you take off!"
i have heard several v10's with diff cat backs, muffler, etc....
personally i think the best sound has come from the type of setup i have (flow 40 with an immediate turn down (look at my pics)). i have a sound clip somewhere but have to find it....
now, if i could only find a setup like mine with the borla headers.... damn i hate being the ginny for these things!!

Nice to know I made an impact. :-)
Abendx's truck sound nice too! I make a nice cracking sound when falling off of high revs. Woulda been a bit too much for my truck though...

You mean you get so excited when winding out that V10 you pass gas?
Check your drawers that could account for that cracking sound!
>>And the skid marks from that post a while back.
