Hey.....
We got an old 1994 F-150 with 4.9 inline 6. Trying to fix some driveability issues and found this plug. It doesnt seem to fit anywhere. It's located passenger side of the engine, between cylinder #2 & #3.The fuel injectors all have their plugs. Any ideas?
The solenoid to plug that into may not be there. The plastic barbs on the purge solenoid routinely break. Many people just trash the solenoid and run a straight hose since that works fine too. Regardless, it's probably not what's causing your driveability problem.
Generally speaking MAP based EFI systems DGAF about vacuum leaks and unmetered air. Your driveability problem is therefore probably fuel or spark related, likely some sensor that's convincing the computer to do something inappropriate with fuel or spark.

Yes, it looks like that is what happened, since the system has aftermarket looking rubber vacuum lines on it.
