Started my 1979 F250 regular cab restore over three years ago. Almost finished. In December 2022 I was told by a company, they'd have a controller out in early 2023 for the 6R140. So I jumped out and bought a tranny and the adapter plate. Cut the tranny tunnel, fit the transmission welded it all up. But come March 2023, that company didn't respond to emails or phone calls. I put it off for another two months, then finally spoke to a rep. He said "oh no, we're not building that one until maybe late 2024" Well here it is late 2024, and once again no response. I've spent about 35k over the last 3 years and now am going to have to settle on an AOD? I would trash the company, but it won't do any good, as they'll just lie, as I've found out is their preferred method of resolving their BS. They even change their art work flyers to remove the 6R140 references. I wasted about 4 grand on lies. Life will be better soon.

Why the 6R140? Hard to see in your photo but it looks like a 460 which can be adapted to a 6R80 which is light years ahead of an AOD. Adapter and controller below.Much more spendy than the AOD however but on par with the 6R140 which is a massive transmission. What are your plans for the T-Case?
USSHIFT told me their 6R80 controller should control a 6R100 as they are supposedly the same electronically and hydraulically. I don't know if anyone has done it or it would work for your 6R140.
That is not true. I was told that from usshift service tech, Jake (He likes to lie). But when I called and spoke to Kevin, (alleged usshift engineer) he stated that the 6R80 controller will not work with the 6R100.
No hope for a controller for your trans. I spent a fair amount of time researching and it's just not happening. If I were to guess, you were either mislead by the adapter plate people or the Quickshift folks. Nevertheless I asked myself what I would do, so here goes...If I were on a budget, I would think with the current administration and rampant inflation you could most likely re-coup the cost of the 6R140 and buy a solid C-6. Newly rebuilt anywhere from $2200--$3500. Then spend another $1200-1500 and get a used gear vendors overdrive which are bulletproof and good for over 1,200 horsepower.
Just been informed a controller IS going to be available after the first of the year. One of my vendors wanted to have it a SEMA, this year. Either drivable or not, it'll be at SEMA 2025, as a tribute to my nephew.

Where did the get the adapter plate to mount that transmission to the 460? And how much was it want to put one in a 7.3
The 460 cost me 18k. I sold it to my uncle. That adapter plate system is the best built design I've seen. Very easy to install. You'll have to redue the trans tunnel. My uncles had done it in a weekend.
That's my uncles truck, as I've had to sell mine, since diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Was hoping to see his finished before the end of the year. He's been in talks with US Shift, but I don't trust them.
