Settle down Forty... you really need to get back on the afteroon meds.

I popped the lock switch panel out and there were the Wt/Rd & Blk/Wt wires. I pulled the kick panel off, but there is no easy way to get to the wires there... so, I found the same wires above the steering column and spliced in there. So far it has been 24 hours and no smoke\flames. Everything seems to be working fine.

I even hooked up a relay to the trunk button on the remote, but haven't decided what to run with it... maybe remote air horns...

Thanks for the help and sorry I didn't get you updated sooner.

Hacking The Power Locks

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-15-03 AT 11:06 PM (EST)]I got a question for those who put in after market remotes in.
When you push the button and HOLD IT will ithold the relay for the locks or does it just energize it and disconnect. I thought about putting the reomte system on my bus, but wasn't sure if it would work cause I need it to hold the relay untill i release the button.

Contact Bulldog Tech support through their website at www.bulldogsecurity.com and ask. They had an excellent turn around time (like hours) for email. I know the trunk button on my remote will pulse the relay for 3/4 of a second if I just hit it. If I hold it, it will hold until I release it.

On the Bulldog system my locks just get a pulse to unlock then they are waiting for the next press of the button. Hence if you hold the button it will only unlock then wait for the release, then press once again to lock.

That is the way mine work as default, but there is also a setting to lengthen the pulse if needed. I bet Tech support would have the info you need.
