temperature sending unit access
Hello I'm new to the forum. I have a 1963 Unibody with a 292. This is my first foray in to Y blocks. I have a temp sending unit in the passenger cylinder head for my Dakota digital gauges. I have not found another accessible port it install the thermostatic switch for my electric fans. Is there another one on the motor somewhere?

IF I remember heads can be swapped left to right. So you're other head MAY have a plug where you can install one.
May..... I believe some were never drilled and tapped....
It's been 15 years since I had a Y block... So check diagonal across the motor on the other head....

On my 64 and 62 and a couple other spare Y Blocks I have sitting around there is a tapped hole just in front of the oil filter. It's about in the center of the block, front to back. Mine are all connected there.
