2007 F150 4.6L - need to replace O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 (upstream passenger side)
This oxygen sensor is in a tough spot! Anyone have any experience with this and perhaps some tips about getting this thing replaced in such a tight spot? The wiring harness clip is way up behind the block...
I got it! I bent the inner fender wall out of the way to provide access to the connector. I also used a mini butane torch (for electrical connectors) to heat the O2 sensor spot. Then with a decent 22mm wrench and a hammer, it broke free no problem, I took it out, and the new one went right in. A pain the butt spot, but less than an hour and all done.
After replacing the O2 sensor, there is still a code popping up on my BlueDriver OBD code device: P1000. Will this take a few ignition cycles and drives to reset itself?
