88 F-150 wiring problems.

Hello everyone I’m new here. Over the last two months I’ve been trying to fix up my grandpas old 1988 ford f-150 XLT lariat. I started by just hooking up all the wires that were chewed under the truck and now the truck will crank but not start. I replaced the rear tank fuel pump but don’t hear it working. I do hear the front fuel pump under the drivers side door turning on when I turn the ignition. There are still about 4 to 5 wires on the drivers side chewed up that are all red/blue and green/white that look like they could go to the ignition switch. As well as somehow hook into one of these connectors that I can’t find on the internet. I would appreciate any help I could get in really looking forward to getting his truck back on the road!

It is a straight 6 (or what my dad always called it) and an automatic transmission.

Yes, correct, as opposed to a V8, because there are 6 cylinders in a straight line, rather than two rows of 4 cylinders arranged in a V shape.
Ford called it a 4.9 liter.
It's also referred to as a 300 straight six, for 300 cubic inches.

Red and light blue was used in more than one circuit on an '88.
The combination of red and light blue, with green and white, was used for the speed sensor circuit (the speed sensor itself is at the rear differential), and the cruise control amplifier.
Red and light blue was also used from the ignition switch on the column, through the gear selector switch (so the truck will only start in neutral or park), to the starter relay and the ignition control module.
You don't want to mix up the two circuits.
Does the truck have cruise control?

The above diagrams are the speed sensor and cruise control circuits.

Below is the gear selector switch (neutral safety switch) red and light blue, to the fender mounted starter relay and distributor mounted ignition control module.

I know the wires are damaged, but can you see which part of the harness they go into?
You're going to have to sort out the red with light blue and green with white circuit, to make sure you don't cross it with the red and light blue that goes to the fender mounted starter relay (solenoid).
