I recently had a rear tire fail that had to be replaced. As these tires had lots of life left in them estimated to be another 15 to 20 K I chose to only change the rear two tires.
Since that time I have experienced a significant swing to the left upon passing a vehicle to the left and also if there is any rapid movement in the steering at slow speeds you get the feeling of being in a tire rut.. The sway if you like is alarming and if you aren't careful could result in loss of control.
So my question could the fact that I only replaced two tires be the cause of this issue. I have had the front end inspected and not defects were found.
The truck is a diesel 2016 F350 Platinum with all the options
The other item I will add to the above...
It takes a few hundred miles sometimes for all the oil to leach out and the rubber compound to settle, not to mention all the cords in the tires.
Side wall failure at low speed.
Exact same tire and size same air pressure yes wheel is torqued. Drove a few days on the spare and had no issues
Thanks for your questions
Appreciated
I'm late to the party but was going to say that ^^ new truck tires are always squirrelly for a few days, even worse when your on the 2 wheeled transportation...
