Caliper bracket?
1997 E150
I'm replacing the pads on my front brakes. That went pretty well, but one mounting bolt screws in but will not tighten. I guess I need to replace the bracket on that side.
Of course, I can't just take the old one to the parts store to match it with a new one. Searching eBay reveals tons of F150 parts, as usual. Are these parts the same?

Those small bolts that hold the caliper, just go into pins that are replaceable, along with the bolts
If it's the bigger bolts that hold the mount to the knuckle, that is a bit worse, you may need a knuckle
It should be pretty easy to find all those parts used, cheap, at a wrecking yard
Buy new might cost some big money,

I went ahead and did the other caliper just to be certain that the bolts screw into the bracket.
I found the Ford part number on a Ford parts site. They give the part number as 4C2Z-2B134-AA.
I found that part from a seller on eBay. The description says it fits 02-04 E-150, "but might fit other years."
I'll remove that caliper again to inspect the bracket and see if it looks like the one on eBay.
Mine are single-piston calipers, which I bought from NAPA five years ago.

I took the first caliper off again. There is no bracket on this model. The bolts screw into the steering knuckle. One bolt has some flattened threads, but I was able to screw another bolt into the hole.
I hope that I can just buy new bolts and use Loctite.
