Bracket between the bed and tailgate - part number
I am having a hard time finding the part number for the bracket between the bed and tailgate but is attached to the bed. Supposedly it's only for trucks with a tailgate step.

Just the part that mounts to the bed? It could be this HC3Z99107B72A. Some sources are calling that a handle latch bracket, but visually it looks the same as what is attached to the bed of my truck. I believe that's the part you are talking about.
The associated part that mounts to the tailgate is HC3Z99404A42D.
