I have a PCM (code HOG0) I am trying to use in a '94 F150. My question for anyone who is truly knowledgeable based on past experience is since the PCM has been out of any vehicle for just over 20 years is it possible its ROM has been lost? The text on oldfuelinjection.com states the ROM lasts 20 years so perhaps I will just need another PCM. Can anyone attest to a unit still be viable after being on the shelf for 20+ years? Thank you.
Right, PCMs have no shelf life
But in Fords, the capacitors do leak electrolyte after about 20 years
