I6 for offroading?

I6 for offroading?
Hey guys,
Anyone sportin a I6 in their broncos, how does it feel. I know i wont have the same rumble of an 8 or probably get the same hp numbers, but i do like the idea of its reliability and some fuel economy. I use my bronco as a daily driver and off roading but nothing too too serious. Do you think the I6 might be the motor for me then?

Yes, it should do you fine.
From what ive read, there is very little difference between the 4.9 I6 and the 5.0 V-8.
The only major difference is a bit more of low end torque.

If anything, a big six is much preferred to a small 8. If I had the choice, I would go for the 300. No matter what motor you have, if youre gearing sucks, you wont be offroading anywhere but to the corner store. Are you in the process of looking for a bronco? It appears you are looking for efficency, but I still would recommend the 351 over both.
